Each of our bedrooms is individually decorated in the country house style, using French and English antiques. We’ve kept the original room names from the previous owners, who lived in the chateau for 200 years. You can sleep in the Marquis and Marquise’s bedrooms, or perhaps the valet’s!
Many of the wallpapers are vintage, and the curtains are made of silk from the traditional Sudbury silk mills that produce fabrics for Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament.
The rooms have English silver teapots and Limoges porcelain cups, so that you can make yourself a coffee or speciality British tea, whilst nibbling a handmade biscuit. Or help yourself to a complimentary sherry in the evening.
And, to stay snug in the cooler months, every room has a hot water bottle.
The bathrooms feature homemade toiletries, made with our own honey and plants.
